Monitoring Server Performance
Why wait until your server falls over?
Every business that has a server should recognise how critical it is to their business. Most business networks rely solely on the server for logging in, Internet access, access to saved data and many more things.
The risk of server failure may not be high, but when this is balanced with the impact of a failure NOT taking precautions seems reckless.
Many businesses backup their data in case of failure and some even have UPS systems for power failures, but how many have a professional company monitoring their system 24 hours a day 7 days a week? This sounds expensive, but clearly we don’t have an employee sat at a machine watching what the server is doing and trying to spot performance problems. We use software installed on the server to communicate the status of the server to us and to notify us of any signifcant problems. This then becomes a very cost effective solution.
What are the benefits?
Potential problems are detected before they cause any disruption to the business.
Action can be taken to remedy recurring issues with little, or no, downtime.
The cost per month is far less than the cost of server failure.
During October 2007 we’re running an offer for any business interested in this solution
